Jack White Drawing

I was commissioned by a local record store ( Record Theatre ) to draw portraits of musicians to sell for Record Store Day 2013.
So far I've done a cute cartoon of The Beatles & a more gritty drawing of Jack White.
This is proving to be so much fun! I'm so excited, & Record Theatre has generously offered to sell my art for me since I have a guitar lesson that day- scheduled prior to them asking me to draw- & I was so happy because I felt bad I could not be there all day to sell my work.
I'm definately stopping by and I'm going to be purchasing music from my local shop- I value having local music stores to go to, make sure you go out on April 20th and visit your local shop too!

Cupcakes & Coffee for lunch

My Ma & I had lunch at Firefly in East Aurora. It's a restaurant that has delicious cupcakes & coffee!
We went to Vidler's & walked around to different stores. We got Poco a little bed & my Ma got me a mushroom ornament for our tree this Christmas! Such a fun day :)
I drew a bunch of pictures of George Harrison in my sketchbook & got some awesome plastic animals, mints, a peanut eraser & a new Schaffer pen.
Vidler's is awesome.

Sketchbook

For one of my classes we are required to keep a sketchbook that our teacher will grade at the end of the semester- not on our technical abilities but on the fact that we are practicing our craft.
This is my first drawing in my sketchbook, I love assignments like this!!

My Latest Zombie Mutant

I've named her mushroom headed girl, since she has a mushroom cap growing atop her head as well as baby mushrooms growing out of her eye sockets.
I drew this with ink on vellum. I am forever going to draw with ink on vellum now, I love how it resembles an old illustration from a Victorian book.

Artist

Alicia Balbuzoski is a fellow student and one of my friends at college, she's also super talented!
She can draw like no body's business and she's also a caring & fun person.
She enjoys owls a lot and I especially love this drawing she did of one.
The way she rendered the feathers is beautiful, take a look!
After you do that check out her blog :)
