I have been obsessed with listening to Adele lately.
I've also been obsessed with ways to keep myself calm & not stressed out. My friend has brain cancer & I've been very distraught. So far taking walks & hot showers works very well, as does keeping up with my art & playing my guitar. It's a day-to-day struggle but I just keep in mind that no matter what happens she will be my friend forever & that bad things in life often are followed by great things. It doesn't seem like that now however- but I'm just trying each day to stay strong.
I'm going to the Goo Goo Dolls concert this August! I'm so excited, I've seen them about 6 times now- they're my ultimate favorite band! So this Tuesday I've decided to post some of my favorite songs by them.
As I'm typing this, I'm watching the documentary "The Lady With 700 Cats". She is honestly slightly crazy I think but in the best way. This woman has a no kill shelter- complete with human sized beds for the kitties! We need more people like her.
She takes in other animals too it seems- judging from the incredible amount of doggies walking alongside her.
Apparently this documentary first aired in 2011- I've never seen it before! How?? I just googled the sanctuary- it's still open thank God! Here is the link:
This woman is incredible, I'm in awe as I'm watching this!!
She has the means & a team helping her. The means being money & a team being people who know how to properly care for the cats- including vets. She's not just some crazed woman going into this half cocked.
Kind of a random post, yes. But Goo Goo Dolls + animals= the best stuff ever.

Buffalo, Niagara Falls & the surrounding towns up here in WNY have so much to offer- way more than snow. This area & the cities often get a bad rap as "dying" cities & communities. We are not as big as NYC- but we have great small towns,architecture & history. There are THE BESTantique shops up here, as well as amazing food!
Besides my usual Tuesday Tunes Day post, I've decided to write about why I blog & give everyone an update about my unconventional wishlist that I posted back in February (!).
So far from this list, I have found a vintage military coat.
This is a very late update & not very exciting at all so on to my next topic.
Why I Blog:
This is a post I've seen other bloggers do & I always find them very interesting since everyone blogs for different reasons.
Me, I blog because one day- if I do become well known for my art I want there to be an accurate record of my life that people can read. I cannot tell you how annoying it is to sit in an art history class and listen to strange ideas about an artist's motivations & why they did such & such. It gets to be too much.
I make my art because it makes me happy- end of story.
Also, I think that it is amazing how with the internet we can learn about different people all over the world like no other time in history. In the future instead of hoping to find intact journals & artifacts- people can go on the internet & discover blogs & pictures from the past. It's a fun thing to think that my blog will one day be part of history.
I just enjoy sharing what I like and having a place for me to look at my outfits & my art. Also, I think that as an artist- having a space where people can get a peek into my life is important. Not only for the aforementioned reasons, but also because everyone likes to be a little nosy! "What does this woman do besides draw zombies & paint? " well you can read my blog ;)
These are the honest reasons why I blog. It's not about the number of readers- although you are all fabulous- nor the number of members that join my blog- I also love all of you too- it's about me enjoying what I do & being able to write it down & share it.
Normally, I prefer more girly/ not as flashy clothing, but this top that I just got yesterday is an exception to my usually unbreakable rule. My Mom & I went shopping before I had to go to work, and she bought me this super duper amazing top! Thanks Ma!
It's just a short sleeve black tee, but it's cut nice (not too tight) and has these amazing, golden, spikes on each shoulder. I. Love It.

Here are the new records I got from Savers, I love it there so much!! I was thrilled to find awesome vinyl in such good condition!
The records I got were David Bowie- Let's Dance, Madonna's single for Papa Don't Preach, Elton John's Greatest Hits, and Duke by Genesis.
Basically everything at Savers is nice- they really look their items over before re-sell. I got a fisherman's sweater, some mugs, and a pretty scarf too.... also... a mushroom stick pin!! I'm going to do a seperate post about those.
Tuesday tunes day is now just going to be tunes day & occur whenever I get the chance to sit down & write it up. It will still be weekly but just not always exactly in Tuesday. I just got a bunch of awesome new vinyl so ill be posting about that soon!!! Also, still have not figured out how to make quirky/professional plastic animal jewelry. But I'm working on it.

I got my birthday pie today from my friend, started gauging my 2nd holes & quit smoking... For the 2nd time. Hopefully the strange coincidence of the two 2's will give me luck and help me finally quit smoking so much.

Tuesdays are the days I have taken guitar lessons for 2 years and, its the day I look forward to each week. Learning guitar makes me so happy & inspires me. So I have dedicated Tuesdays as "Tuesday Tune Days" on my blog. I'll share songs that I'm currently obsessing over & that are inspiring me.
