Artist
Statement
With
all my art, I enjoy focusing on subjects that are not necessarily considered
beautiful, such as fungus and decay. I then turn these subjects into
fascinating & esthetically pleasing works of art. Much of my art has a bit
of dark humor thrown in, and can be a bit psychedelic- I believe art should not
only be captivating, but fun as well.
I
am very proud of how hard my parents worked to raise me, and of how I have
worked hard to get where I am. To honor my “blue collar” roots I use materials
that anyone can have access to. I believe art should be accessible to anyone,
anywhere- and you do not need expensive materials to create captivating art. I
was taught this when I was very young, when I began to realize the class
differences in people, and it inspired me and gave me motivation to keep making
my art, however I could and still do.
