Tuesday Tunes Day & What I Wore

Normally, I prefer more girly/ not as flashy clothing, but this top that I just got yesterday is an exception to my usually unbreakable rule. My Mom & I went shopping before I had to go to work, and she bought me this super duper amazing top! Thanks Ma!
It's just a short sleeve black tee, but it's cut nice (not too tight) and has these amazing, golden, spikes on each shoulder. I. Love It.
Here are the songs I have been listening to the past week:

Gardening

Since I have a hard time bending over to garden, I love making a "container" garden filled with succulents!
My favorite are Lithops, or living stones. Succulents are hard to kill, & they look so unique & strange.
This year, I added to my growing garden with 7 new succulents, making a total of 12 in my garden so far.
I also like gardening this way because when it gets cold I just bring everything inside & all winter I can pretend it's summer- even if it's only for the few minutes I'm watering my plants.

Record Store Day

Record store day here in Buffalo for me was amazing!
At Record Theatre, they wanted to sell my artwork, they did an awesome job of displaying my prints! & when I went to buy my vinyl a man purchased on if my prints of Jack White, it was incredibly overwhelming but in a very exciting way.
I'm so thankful!

The Vinyl I purchased was:
Horemoaning by Nirvana,
The Raw & the Cooked by Fine Young Cannibals
Soundgardens Record Store day release
Demolition by Ryan Adams
The Fear of Missing Out by Thenewno2
God Willin' & the Creek Don't Rise by Ray LaMontagne

Doctor Who

My thoughts that have come from last nights epic Dr Who:
What if Clara Oswin Oswald is a ghost, & parts of her are stuck pocket universes and that's why she exists in different times- & since each universe only lasts for a short amount of time maybe that's why she seems to not remember- and that's why she's quite frightened all the time like the empathic psychic said & doesn't say so like the psychic said because she doesn't know why she's frightened!!!!! Bam!
& the reason the doctor & others could see her is because she's a ghost and has found a window in each universe to come into our own- what if the doctor or the Tardis is that window! & each part of her ghost self as it gets rescued moves on & that's why she doesn't remember the doctor each time. Ooh la la.
I could go on and on, but this is what I think is my most realistic idea. This could change- Dr Who is epic!

Bob Seger Concert

Yesterday I went to the Bob Seger concert- it was amazing!
I got some pictures, but mostly I danced badly & sang along to all the songs.
I wore my Ma's shirt she bought at one of his concerts in 1978, some polka dot print jeans & my lucky concert sneakers- that are very beat up. I adore them.
Joe Walsh of The Eagles was the opening act- he sounded great as well!
Hopefully soon, I can go to another concert again.

A new face: Update

My face has been clearing up! Slowly but surely I'm noticing less bumps & pimples.
Thank goodness, because the hot weather of the summer does horrid things to my skin & now that I know what works good I can keep my acne in check.

Inspiration

Herbal Essences

Has anyone seen the latest Herbal Essence commercials? The one where the woman is in the bathroom on the plane? And she basically expresses herself very loudly- sounding most exactly like she is having an orgasm-from washing her hair with Herbal Essences? This, in my opinion is very disgusting and demeaning to women.
Why?
- It basically says, women love Herbal Essences so much they get orgasms from using it- they value beauty products so much that the act of using them causes them to have an orgasm. Deeming us women as shallow, sex hungry fiends who only value outward appearances.
-Having an orgasm is a private & in many cases an event that occurs when a woman is with someone she trusts. In this commercial by belittling a private, wonderful, & natural sensation for a woman by downgrading it to something a woman can supposedly achieve by washing her hair in public on an airplane (which is strange in of itself that someone would do that) and then broadcasting it on said plane  with no shame is telling us women that we should A) not feel bad about making others uncomfortable and B) think that keeping our sexual lives to ourselves is somehow wrong or strange. Why not just orgasm loudly for tons of strangers to hear?
-This commercial is seen by young girls, who do not need anymore overly sexualized images/situations thrown in their lives. They get enough by just going shopping or turning on the TV to watch a children's show & having to search for modest clothing or immediately see a young girl with makeup on dressed like a twenty something.
-The woman in the commercial is already dressed up unrealistically, she is dressed so overtly sexy, & then she orgasms over shampoo? If a young boy sees this, what does this commercial tell him about women & how to think of them? It tells him that women dress up like sex pots on a normal basis & will just orgasm for other's pleasure (meaning the others on the airplane not complaining when she turns on the loudspeaker) without a second thought.

Honestly, this commercial is just horrid. If you don't agree I really don't mind- just don't expect that women actually behave or should behave & look like the woman in this commercial.

Animal love

Look at this! An elk named Shooter saved a drowning marmot.

Check it out, & see why when people say that animals don't have "human" feelings they are completely wrong.

Jack White Drawing

I was commissioned by a local record store ( Record Theatre ) to draw portraits of musicians to sell for Record Store Day 2013.
So far I've done a cute cartoon of The Beatles & a more gritty drawing of Jack White.
This is proving to be so much fun! I'm so excited, & Record Theatre has generously offered to sell my art for me since I have a guitar lesson that day- scheduled prior to them asking me to draw- & I was so happy because I felt bad I could not be there all day to sell my work.
I'm definately stopping by and I'm going to be purchasing music from my local shop- I value having local music stores to go to, make sure you go out on April 20th and visit your local shop too!

Apps I love right now

I'm addicted to Foursquare & my newest camera Bezel.
I highly recommend both!
Foursquare gives you special promotional cupons for checking into participating places- and they show you what's in the area- restaurants etc with reviews too. I know I've jumped on the bandwagon of Foursquare late but oh my gosh I love it.
Bezel gives your pictures those cool shapes you see on Free People's IG feed for example.
Take a look:

Things I Love

 -My Chihuahua Poco
-My shoe collection
-Drawing Portraits
-Painting
-Having my wonderful boyfriend who supports what I do
And, these beautiful clothes from Darling!! I adore their clothes, I need to save up some money. Normally I don't get too attached to one clothing brand but, hello! Their clothing is so feminine & pretty & has a ton of vintage flair.

I mean, Just look at these gorgeous pictures from their lookbooks!

I just want all the clothes! I've been looking for similar items at thrift shops & have done fairly well- but I may just have to drop the dough for these pretty looks.
